{Eldersburg, Maryland Child and Family Photographer} Life By Lens: May

It’s time for our monthly blog post!  Life By Lens is a project I’m participating in with a group of photographers from across the country.  Each month we post some personal pictures. Words can’t express how happy I am that this winter is finally over!  I’m so happy to be back outside in the warm weather!

It’s been a fun and busy month!  I have lots of pictures to share.

After what felt like the world’s longest first trimester, I was finally able to share that I’m due with our third baby in November.  I took my girls out for a shoot and ended up with my favorite picture of my girls ever (so far, anyway!).

I also decided to venture out with my girls to one of my favorite spots, Piney Run Park.  There’s a pine forest there and I was hoping to get some shots there, but sadly, we encountered lots of mud and had to turn around.  I’m still really happy with the shots we got!  Most photographers (including me) prefer to shoot in the golden hour, the hour before sunset.  Sometimes I have clients that can’t work that out, whether it’s due to kids’ sleep schedules or other conflicts.  Because of that, I like to practice at various locations during non-ideal times.  On this day, it was about 10am, with the sun coming in and out of the clouds.  Definitely not my favorite lighting situation!

And my last set!  Our first ballet recital!  So fun!
