{Columbia, MD Baby and Child Photography} Great Cloth Diaper Change

I had a wonderful time at the Great Cloth Diaper Change at Greenberries in Columbia! The Great Cloth Diaper Change is a Guinness World Records diaper changing challenge where cloth diaper users around the world change a diaper at the same time. The goal is to increase awareness of cloth diapering. There are so many benefits to using cloth: it’s cheaper (my #1), it’s better for the environment, it’s cheaper, they’re cuter, there are fewer issues with rashes, it’s cheaper (did I say that one?).

I’ve used cloth diapers for the last 3 years. When I started, there were very few local stores that carried many cloth diapers. At the time, Greenberries had one small basket of diapers. Now they have a whole wall full with every kind you can imagine: all in ones, fitteds, hybrids, pockets, wool, AI2s, prefolds…everything! When I started, I just read online. It was so overwhelming. There are so many different kinds of diapers, and so many different washing recommendations…I eventually made sense of it all, but I wish there had been a place like Greenberries back when I was starting out. Everyone there is very knowledgeable, and there are even free monthly Cloth Diapering 101 classes.

There were over 70 participants at the GCDC at Greenberries this year! Thanks for having me!
